One shot kills -- anti candida diflucan rids the body of the yeast

candida diflucan candida diflucan

in quick order. This prescription medicine for yeast infection has been for some women, the last resort.

For this medicine for yeast infection -- the anti candida diflucan pill -- you definitely need to see your doctor if you suspect a yeast infection (even if not for the first time, and especially if you do not frequently get a yeast infection). Sometimes self-diagnosis can lead you down the wrong path and you could end up treating yourself with a yeast infection home remedy when you really do not have a candida overgrowth. What's wrong with that, you say? Well, for one, if you use an OTC antifungal cream, or in this case -- the anti candida diflucan pill -- to treat the supposed yeast infection, you could end up creating a more resistant strain of candida albicans with repeated use. Another more serious issue is if you actually have something more serious than a yeast infection and end up ignoring it because you thought you have a yeast infection.

Diflucan
When my OB/GYN first recommended and prescribed me this anti candida diflucan pill, I thought I had died and gone to heaven!!! But seriously, I never even knew this product existed. I was all too happy to get my hands on the prescription and get this medication for yeast infection filled. Mind you, by that time, I had already been suffering on and off from yeast infections for about 1.5 years and I was SO READY for something drastic! I was literally desperate for anything to work! What's even more "miraculous" (to this non-medical person) to me was the fact that all it took was one little pink anti candida diflucan pill (and I mean little!) to eradicate all the yeast in my system! "This one little pink anti candida diflucan can fight and kill all those nasty yeasties in my body? Surely not!!!" I thought skeptically.

But you know what? It worked! Albeit, it took about 24 hours to see the results, but boy, was it nice to have all those stubborn yeast gone and not have to deal with messy antifungal creams, etc.

How does this anti candida diflucan work? The active ingredient is fluconazole, thus it's from the "azole" drug family. It works the same as the other "azoles" of the antifungal fighting team -- miconazole, clotrimazole, tioconazole, butoconazole, etc. They all work by breaking down the cell walls of the candida until it dissolves. Diflucan works the same way ... only it's taken orally by mouth (vs. spread or "injected" into the vagina in cream or suppository form, sold as Monistat, Gyne-Lotrimin, etc.). AND, it's much, much, much, much more powerful.

Doctors will sometimes prescribe this medicine for yeast infection in 1 higher dosage pill. Other doctors may prescribe this anti candida diflucan medication in a combo of 3 lesser dosage pills taken in 3 consecutive days or more for severe recurring yeast infections. The dosage and length of treatment will depend on the type of yeast infection that you have -- that is, what strain of candida that's infecting you. I have taken this anti candida diflucan pill in both these combinations, and honestly, I can't tell if one way is necessarily better than the other.

Sounds great, right? So how can you get your hands on this anti candida diflucan pill-of-wonder? OK, first of all, if you've been suffering from frequent yeast infections, your doctor will most likely be more willing to prescribe this for you. Even then, with some doctors, you may need to ask for this anti candida diflucan prescription. But if you're a "newbie" to the "wonderful" world of yeast infections or don't suffer frequently from yeast infections (i.e. less than twice a year), chances are your doctor will ask you to just use an OTC (over the counter) medicine for yeast infection. And really, in my humble opinion, I would suggest that for you also -- that if you don't frequently get yeast infections, try some of the more natural yeast infection remedies before asking for the "big gun".

Don't get me wrong ... I'm not trying to dissuade you from trying out this anti candida diflucan. God knows (and He does!) how diflucan has saved me from many a fire-burning, raging yeast infection! But as with any artificially manufactured drug, it's best to not subject your body to a prescribe medicine for yeast infection unless totally necessary. Here're some reasons why ...

Studies have shown that the remaining yeast in your body not eradicated by the medicine for yeast infection clotrimazole can actually become more and more resistant to it with repeated use. Studies on immuno-compromised patients (such as those with HIV, etc.) have shown that the yeast in their bodies eventually become resistant to the anti candida diflucan with repeat use. Other studies also shows the growing resistance of candida albicans to fluconazole with repeated exposure1. It's like how strains of bacteria in your body can become resistant to various forms of antibiotics ... same concept working here. I know that from my personal experience, I've taken this anti candida diflucan on at least four separate infections (not consecutive infections, but throughout a time frame of 4 years), and on one treatment cycle I found it did not quite do the job. Otherwise, the diflucan worked really well. It could be that on the one treatment that didn't work, I had a yeast infection that was not due to the candida albicans strain.

Another thing to note is to be sure to tell your doctor if you have any (or had) kidney problems as he or she may need to change / reduce your dosage. Fluconazole, the active ingredient in the anti candida diflucan can also cause kidney damage. So monitor your urine (too dark) or stool (too light) color while on this medicine for yeast infection.

With all that said, if you have a prescription for this medicine for yeast infection, where can you get it filled? Logic is you get it filled according to your health plan policy or find your online choice here at a reputable merchant associated with the National Association Boards of Pharmacy.

So there you have it. My complete list of yeast infection home remedies. Naturally, I'm always on the lookout for other (and hopefully better) yeast infection cures. So if you know of any, send them my way and I'll be have to check it out! Send me an email with any feedback you may have.
